Tuesday City Commission meeting canceled
The Regular City Commission meeting scheduled for tonight (7/6) is canceled due to expected impacts from TS Elsa. At this time, the Wednesday night meeting will be held at 6 p.m. as scheduled.

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, July 6, 2021 the City of Sarasota Parks & Recreation District’s pools, summer camps, and all programming are on hold due to the upcoming Tropical Storm Elsa.

Local State of Emergency declared; City offices closed Tuesday
In preparation and response to Tropical Storm Elsa, the City of Sarasota has declared a Local State of Emergency. City Manager Marlon Brown in consultation with Mayor Hagen Brody, City Attorney Robert Fournier and City Auditor and Clerk Shayla Griggs approved the declaration.
