Arrest Made in February 25, 2022 Homicide Investigation
William Devonshire, 52, has been arrested and is facing charges of Murder in connection to the death of Kelliann Ripley, 48, of Sarasota. The family of Ms. Ripley shared with Sarasota Police Department detectives over the weekend they are allowing Ms. Ripley’s name to be released publicly.

Sarasota Police Detectives Investigating Shooting – Attempting to Identify Vehicles & Individuals Involved
Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are investigating a shooting that happened Friday, February 25, 2022, in the 3200 block of North Washington Boulevard (U.S. 301), just before 5:30 p.m. There are no reports of injuries at this time. Detectives believe this was an isolated incident.

Sarasota PD Continuing Homicide Investigation – Two Suspects Arrested
Sha’Miya Williams, 16, is facing charges of Homicide & Attempted Homicide in connection to a homicide that happened February 6, 2022, just before 4:30 p.m. She was arrested by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office on February 7, 2022. Sarasota Police arrested a second suspect on February 9th.
