The Robert L. Taylor Community Complex (RLTCC) is partnering with the Sarasota Police Department to offer a special K.O.P.S. (Kids and Officers Promoting Solidarity) Spring Break Event on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 8pm – Midnight. Registration is now open.
The after-hours youth program will be hosted at the RLTCC and is open to 50 participants ages 12 to 16. Parents can enjoy a night out while kids can take part in activities including basketball, volleyball, wiffleball, video games, pool tables, and more. Food and refreshments will be provided along with a fun, safe environment.
“The goal of this program is to build positive relationships between kids and Officers in our area,” said Arthur Larkins, Manager of the RLTCC. “Creating these relationships goes a long way toward building community.”
Registration is required and available online at https://kops-spring-break.eventbrite.com. Registration can also be completed in person by visiting the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex at 1845 34th Street, Sarasota. The first 50 participants who register and attend will receive a t-shirt along with the opportunity to utilize the Robert L.
