City of Sarasota administrative offices will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 3, in observance of Election Day.
Residential garbage, recycling and yard waste pickup and commercial garbage collection schedules will be unaffected.
Staff with the City Auditor and Clerk’s office will be working with the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections to provide voting results for the three City Commission races.
Hours of operation at recreation and cultural arts facilities for Nov. 3 will vary:
- Arlington Park and Aquatic Complex, 2650 Waldemere St., will be closed.
- Bobby Jones Golf Club Nature Trails, 1000 Circus Blvd., will be open regular hours: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Golf courses are closed until early 2022 for planned renovations.
- Children’s Fountain at Bayfront Park, Ringling Boulevard and Bayfront Drive, remains closed until further notice.
- Lido Pool, 400 Benjamin Franklin Drive, remains closed until further notice.
- Payne Park Tennis Center, 2050 Adams Lane, will be closed.
- Robert L. Taylor Community Complex, 1845 34th St., will be open only for voting, as it is a polling location.
- Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, 777 N. Tamiami Trail - The Box Office will be closed.
The state-run COVID-19 testing site at Robert L. Taylor Community Complex will be closed. The testing site will resume normal daily operations Nov. 4.
